Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control
It is the driving force of the Six Sigma approach and is a structured and exploratory method for solving problems. It is a refinement of the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) and its steps are defined as follows: S1-Understanding the problem, S2-Measure current performance, S3-Find the causes of the poor performances, S4-Define and implement solutions and finally S5-Ensure that changes are successful and when appropriate generalized to other problems.
